im applying to med schools right now. i put on my secondary apps that i will be taking my second english credit at my current university (most schools require 6, and for my first english class i got an A). but i really wanted to take more science courses so i decided to take my second english course at community college right now. I dont think admission ppl will know about this until they see my final transcript (if they decide to accept me). I know there was threads like this but i wanted to know if it would hurt me AFTER i get accepted if they realize i took one english course at community college. thank you!

If it fits schedule-wise/financially, you're good. If you're trying to blow off a class, not so much.

You're fine. Note that opening up a record at a different college is going to complicate your life a bit as far as transcripts go, but as long as you get the English class done; they're not likely to care. The English req., in my opinion, seems like more of a safeguard to ensure that the students arriving at the medical school are going to be able to read/write in English and understand charts and the like more than a highly technical foundational requirement like O-chem.
