Hi everyone!

I'm currently a Medical student in Switzerland (1st year).
However, I'm having major difficulties with regards to my language of study, as I'm fluent in English (I think in English and have always studied in English) and my Medical course is in French.
Besides making eloquent expression difficult, this makes it hard for me to even understand exam questions, as I have to dissect the wording of a question to be confident with its meaning.
I think we can all agree Medicine is hard enough as it is without adding language difficulties to the mix!!! x)

I'm thus looking to apply to ENGLISH Medical/Pre-med programs abroad, specifically Poland.
I am half Polish and I have always loved visiting Poland (especially Warsaw). However, I speak only basic, informal Polish and can't write in Polish.

I wanted to ask anyone who is currently studying Medicine in English in Poland (ex. at the English Division of the Medical University of Warsaw) or anyone who has graduated from an English Medical program in Poland the following questions:

> How are the English Medical Programs in Poland?
  • What are the quality of these programs?
  • Are the teachers all perfectly fluent in English?
  • How big are the classes?
> What are the graduate prospects?
  • Can one apply for residency abroad? If so, where? And what are the chances of being accepted?
  • Did you encounter difficulties with a Medical degree from an English program in Poland to find matches in residency? What about for employment? What about for research opportunities?
I'd love to know how current students/graduates of English Med programs in Poland feel about their program/degree and share any information! 🙂

Thank you!

Jaguellonian, Lodz, Pomeranian, and Gdansk come to mind as the more reputable programs that teach in English in Poland. Jay is by far the best of them.
