English pre reqs

So I know most if not all the schools require 6 semester units of English classes (composition/literature/etc). I went to a school with the quarter system and I only needed 2 quarters of English composition to graduate which equals 5.4 units. Would I still have to take another class to be able to matriculate or do you guys think schools would let me slide?

For DMU, its composition/literature/speech...and I also took a speech class, so I'm okay at that school for prereqs. But I don't know about others...

I think that's definitely a question you'd have to ask each school individually.
