Hey guys,

Just a quick question. I don't have a formal english course under my belt. I know that most med schools require a year of english classes. Will any college english course be acceptable? I saw some interesting ones like modern fiction, short stories, children's literature..Will these work 🙂 and they all start with ENG.

Thanks

This isn't directly an answer to your question, but all of the "upper level" English classes at my school require Comp I and Comp II as pre-reqs, so you might check on that.

I don't see why not. I satisfied the requirement with "English Poets, Chaucer to Eliot" and a seminar on Milton. Just make sure that you are eligible to take the courses at your school. (If they require a Comp course, that would also work for the English requirement, but sometimes you can get out of this by taking a placement test.)
