I'm a little confused by the english requirement. Most schools require 1 year of English, right? I've taken 1 english composition course (1 quarter, not semester) and 2 writing intensive courses from other departments (not english). Do you think this is acceptable for entrance into medical school? Has anyone been admitted w/o the full year of english?

They want you to take the English requirements that satisfy the two semesters for a degree at your college. If you substituted a course for one of these, you can petition AACOMAS to substitute on your application.
