Enhancing med school application

I was planning on applying to med school this october; however, after getting back my mcat score last night i decided to re take the test this spring. Im graduating from undergrad this spring and will have to take a year off before attending med school. During my year off what should i do to enhance my application?

RESEARCH, EARLY APPLICATION, MCAT👍

I would say clinical volunteering and shadowing along with doing better on the MCAT and applying early.

Research is important at research schools, top ten. I did none and was fine!!

Leadership and teaching activities are also nice to have on the application, besides the above mentioned experiences.
