For those of you that have written the exam, would you happen to know if it's possible to enlarge the size of the text? I've recently started practicing the verbal on the computer and the text is soooo freakin small. I have really bad eyes. From comparing my TPR scores from the verbal textbook and my recent CBT verbal scores, I've discovered that I'm struggling with the reading on the screen. Anybody tried enlarging the text?

In my computer, I can zoom the screen and that makes it so much better...is this posible in the AAMC exams?!? If nobody knows, I would be grateful if people writing on Aug 25th would try it and let us know. I hope it works 🙂

resolution of CBT tests is 600x800 on a 17". I got used to a higher resolution to taking the test at a such a low res was pain. Had to scroll A LOT to find the right information. Even periodic table was occupying the whole screen which I hate. So if you were given some elements to compare you had to pretty much close periodic table to go back to test and then open it up again.

after reading horrific stories of people having monitors that glitch or shut off, i was too paranoid to worry about external factors and placed all my focus on the exam itself, sitting upright, close and pretended nothing outside of my view existed. those noise reduction headset do help, but my ears are extremely sensitive that i could hear the door open/close, people typing, and in some cases mouses clicking. but that was mostly during my breaks as i try to focus only on what i am reading.

lcd monitors i had were nice and big, and the font sizes were about what i am used to.

I'm not sure about being able to shift the center bar right or left, but you definitely could not change the text size.

That really sucks...my face is gonna be right up on the screen 🙂

ok... how similar to the free online emcat is the real thing in terms of interface?

lol the word

"enlarging" struck my attention immediately when looking at the forum page
