enough for micro ??

I'd skip Deja, and instead do the flash cards + Made ridiculously simple. Make sure to have a look at Pholston's ppts here

Ugh, I just realized you were talking about the actual step. I'm not qualified to comment on that. In case you missed it the first time, find the Micro slides by pholston and know those.

In terms of the shelf:

I guess it depends on your learning style. Definitely know FA cold, and if you HAVE to choose between the cards (yeah, those ones) and MMRS, go with the cards. You can do them in a day if you already know a fair amount, but obviously, the more time you have the better. I annotated mine with mnemonics and stuff from the Qbanks and Lippincott Q&A over the semester. I keep hearing that Kaplan's Micro is their best from the M1 subjects, but it didn't work for me. Obviously, the best resource is the one you're actually going to use. So find one that works for you, and stick with it.

I don't know your proficiency level. I could do them in a day because I just had my shelf last month. If you haven't seen micro in awhile, it will take you some time, but it is quite possibly the best use of your time for Micro after FA/UW/slides.

can u refer to the slides that you are talking about , I cant find them
and thank for being helpful 🙂

Lippincotts are pretty useless. Won't help you improve you score unless you seriously know nothing.
Too many lists (and not even comprehensive at that) without explanations, and you gain no ability to quickly cross-reference overlapping traits between different bacteria which is important.

If you need those for your general reference pick up this instead:
http://www.amazon.com/Clinical-Micr...&sr=8-1&keywords=clinical+microbiology+review
....the basis of the lippincotts cards, except more organized, more comprehensive, with explanations. Highly effective boxed notes/organization in my opinion.

Get "review of medical microbiology and immunology" go through the book, cover-to-cover, reading only the blue tables (its like 1 table every few pages), and if you dont know things from those tables, be it vectors or diagnostic tests from those tables you should probably read those very short review chapters. This takes less than a day if you just got out of your microclass, since its been so long, im sure it will be longer to review those charts, but will help you focus on what's important to know for test questions, and what you dont know and should focus on.

Especially know all the tables in the section "Part XI Pearls for the USMLE" in the back of the book.
Those tables + ONLY the HY infectious disease chapter in "HY microbiology and Infectious disease"
+FA will get you where you need to be.

FA + Uworld ? 😀 I would love to this combination only :naughty:
but now I am confused 😳

You keep saying that you don't have enough time. Can you clarify how much time you have? Are you taking Step 1 in 2 weeks, 2 months, 6 months?

If you tell us how much time you have, we can better advise which source could be completed in a feasible amount of time.

I went through those cards b/c I was very weak in Micro. They helped a lot, but it took me like 3 weeks @ ~20 cards per day to complete them (during the school year). MicroCards have a lot of info on them (some say they're overkill) and they take time if someone is weak in micro.

i have to finish micro in 6 days ( thats what I have given micro in my schedule)
wow 3 week :scared: maybe I will read from microcards only the bugs that are listed in FA 😕

FA + uworld +pathoma is good enough for everything
Disagree. For histopathology pathoma often skips certain findings, RR pathology does a better job of covering these. Besides pathoma is inconsistent in terms of depth. Less than an hour on the heart for example but nearly 3 hours on ob/gyn.
