enough itvw's for a DO?

very, very fortunate and lucky to have received 10 itvws so far.
but i applied to around 130 and that yield is not the best.

2 of those were from aways.


I understand 2018 outcomes put my chances at a good place

but with the merger and increased # of applicants I can't help but be worried



should I hold out hope any more will come my way?

should I feel comfortable with 10?
or is 15 the new magic number, especially for DO applicants?

I know nobody has a steadfast answer to this. but your input is appreciated as always.

WAMC superthread

I am a DO applying this cycle and was wondering if I have a decent chance at matching given that I won't have my STEP 2 CK by the time I apply...(9/15) here are my stats: DO SSP member (AOA for DO)- grade went down so I'm in second quartile now Lots of community service +volunteering Tutoring...

10 interviews is plenty IF....
1) you are not socially awkward. If you struggle to relate to people, have weird tics, behaviors, appearance (face tattoos etc) then push for as many as you can. I’m not saying unique traits aren’t completely acceptable or will keep you out of residency, but they may land you lower on the rank list.
2). You plan to rank all 10 places. This should go without saying, but interviews for places you don’t plan to rank really don’t count.

He could start sending emails or calling programs. Talk to his PD and try to get iv that way. Id say 10 is plenty. You will still get more in November and maybe 1-2 in December if people cancel or other reason spots open up
