I've been hearing about summer enrichment programs for disadvantaged students, designed to give them experience in veterinary medicine that wouldn't otherwise be available to them. Does anyone know of any programs that are NOT for disadvantaged students? I'm pretty sure I don't qualify as "disadvantaged" in any way, unless it's that I live in a city, and I'm not sure that counts.
Thanks!

Tufts has their Adventures in Veterinary Medicine program, that's a pretty well known one. I didn't go through that, but I did take a two week study abroad course in Belize through Galen University, "Animal Health and Disease". It was designed for pre-veterinary students, worth 3 credits, and was a pretty good experience - I know at least three of us who've since gone on to vet school, anyway.

The summer is also a really good time to get internships or to work full time at a vet clinic, so I wouldn't necessarily limit myself to these programs, especially since they tend to cost a lot!

i know uc davis has an "enrichment program"..but im not too familar with any programs that are geared toward non-disadvantaged students
