Hi All!

I'm new to the group, so I thought I would start a new thread. I'm edging closer to becoming a "non-traditional" student. I'm finishing my MPH in Epidemiology.
My u-grad GPA was so-so?but my MPH is MARKEDLY better. Is there anything short of taking up residence in the Admissions office that might improve my chances?
:luck:

Your MPH I think will be very helpful for admissions. Also I think a lot of times ADCOMs like students who are a little older than straight out of college because of the maturity factor. The research you're doing sounds like it will really catch attention. It sounds like you are really doing everything right. When it comes time for you to do admissions next year spend time getting your personal statement good. I'm not sure about UNC but I know a lot of schools like to hear, post-interview, that you are still interested in the school and anything you've done in the mean time. Obviously you are working on your MCAT score and from what I've heard schools seem to take into account more recent GPA's so that should help you too. Also you may want to consider applying early decision to UNC if you're pretty set on it. That gets you in before the crowd It sounds like you are really doing everything right at the moment though. Lots of luck!
