Entering EC again on secondaries --- purpose?

Just a curious question: I am wondering why some DO secondaries asked us to list all of our clinical EC/employment etc when we listed them exactly the same on AACOMAS application. Thoughts?

Some schools only use the AACOMAS application to check for MCAT/GPA requirements and Prereqs. Once they are finished, they don't look at the AACOMAS app again. I imagine this reduces the volume of paper work involved for the committee. This, however, is totally speculative.
