Hello,

I had a question regarding the statement in the Examcrackers general chemistry book. It states that "from our inexact but intuitive concept of pressure as the random translational Kinetic energy per volume, we see that enthlapy actually counts for translational kinetic energy twice". Is this true does enthlapy actually account for that particular type of motion twice, im sort of confused.

Thank You

I'm assuming they are saying that because it is a 2 dimensional question. (Pressure and Volume)

You have to take into account the random translational Kinetic energy per volume and random translational Kinetic energy per pressure.
