Do acceptances always come in thick envelopes and rejections in thin? I would think that the latter is true but what else would they be sending you in an acceptance envelope besides instructions on how to accept the offer? They've already gotten all the possible information from us and we've gotten all the school material at interviews, so what else do they put in those envelopes??

Don't be scared, tear it open!

There are at least a few schools who send acceptances in thin envelopes as well. 🙂

My UVA acceptance came in a small envelope. Just open it and don't freak out at the mailbox based on size.

just as with many things, size doesnt matter, its whats inside that counts.

ive gotten small and large envelope acceptances. In fact, some acceptances were single sheets in trifold! I have never seen a large envelope rejection though, so if its small, its more LIKELY to be a rejection.

That's good, because they rejected me in a similarly sized envelope. It's good to know the alma mater is saving some money.

Long live Jefferson, indeed.
