Hi all,

I took an environmental science course in my college career and I got to know the professor really well. She offered to write an awesome LOR for me and I was wondering if it counts as a science LOR since it's environmental science. Any insight?

Hi all,

What's the course code? BIOL? All schools I applied to last cycle took my Nutrition LOR. Technically, that was under the Exercise and Wellness dept.

Oh really? Well my course code was EVS, does that make a difference? Because technically it's classified as an "other science"

I know there a handful of schools that specify "basic science" professor LORs, but the schools I applied to only said science, so they took it. At my school environmental science is a bio course. If you want to be safe just get a weak basic science LOR and submit it to any schools that request the basic science LOR. I think for most schools, the LOR only has to be received before the interview.

Okay, that helps me a lot, thanks for your help!
