Nice!! I was just reading this developer's event for the iPhone, and one of the apps currently in development, if not already finished, is Epocrates for the iPhone. Didn't say how much it was, but it looks great. Here's a pic -->

yes its available just go to the epocrates website....create an account

also according to the epocrates' website:
"Epocrates developers are currently working on a non-browser based version of our product that will not require an internet connection – so that users can access our content anywhere, anytime"

Actually they're still working on it 🙁 the actual native version, from what I read, the one available uses the internet. But it looks really promising! 🙂

Yeah, I know ... but it's slow while on EDGE

I'm a Clinical Research Associate right now and I have Epocrates on my blackberry and I LOVE it. When I'm checking a patient's chart that has about 40 different meds and dose changes I can check each one and make sure the dose schedules are right on.

It is indeed a very handy application, and I've been using it just for fun for a while on the iPhone, but the web based version is slow when on EDGE. What I do like about the coming native app, is that as they said, it'll have high resolution pics of the meds for the first time on a mobile device, and that is awesome! I can't wait!

do you have the 8gb or the 16 gb iphone?? I wonder if apps like this will eat a lot of memory...im getting one less than a month when my contract is up but I dont know how much memory to get??? I want to be able to use epocrates and other apps....

I have no idea how much memory this sort of apps will take. I have the 8Gb version and it is never enough. It's alright for music, but movies take 1 to 1.5 gb approximately if you get them from the iTunes store ... I'm saving for the next version, hopefully with a better battery life.

im gonna go with the 16gb..and yeah I know apples batteries always suck..
thanks for the insight
