Hi! When applying for different tracks within the same program on ERAS (say, both preliminary and categorical GS), how do I consider that when calculating my overall application fee?

No. Two tracks in the same program = one fee. Plus you can add a second track later, and there is no additional fee.

At least that's the way I think it works....
That's the way it works. Two tracks at the same program in the same specialty fall under the same fee.

The combined specialties end up being a bit funny in that sometimes they fall under the same fee and sometimes not, depending on how it's arranged.

That's great news for my wallet. Thank you so much for your help!

Half of the posts about this question I have answered with "it's all one fee" and the other half with "it's two fees". I think it's only one fee, but I apologize for the confusion. The best answer is to call ERAS and ask. Then post the answer here. Or wait until Sept 15th and then you'll be able to see in ERAS.

I'm fairly sure (but I suppose not 100% positive) it's one fee. They're treated the same as IM-categorical and IM-primary care (for example) as far as I know.
