I'm certifying my ERAS today, and there's a question at the end:

Do you give your Dean's Office permission to view your
application once it has been submitted?

with a checkbox for Yes/No

What are the advantages/disadvantages of doing this? Do deans offices look at everyone's application? If I check NO, will that send up a red flag and screw me over?

I dont know if I want my Deans office to know which programs I'm applyign to. I would rather keep that private. I can just see now my Dean calling me into his office and blasting me because I applied to some less competitive programs.

I am also unsure of what to do here. I don't know why the dean's office would need to see my application. But is my checking "yes" merely a formality? Does anyone check "no"? :scared:

I put that I was a rapist on my ERAS, I don't want my dean's office to also know I am a rapist.

Come on guys, this is reaching new levels of neuroticism.

I checked yes and certified, then realized that I had included the fact that I have a third testicle in my personal essay. Now everyone in the Office of Student Affairs is going to know I'm a Triclops!
