Hi! How come my in my ERAS CV, in bold letters it says "Membership" but it lists down my awards...Could it be because I did not enter any memberships? What can I do to remedy this? Or can I just ignore it? I know...I know...this is OC-ness, but I want to get as many of them interviews as possible 😉 Would hate it if I got rejected because..."Oh she's so stupid she listed her awards under membership...maybe she can't understand english?" Hahaha...Ok ...the paranoia has begun....

Mine does that too, but it lists my awards and my memberships under the same "Membership" section. However, when you look at the CAF it organizes it correctly. Hopefully programs will know it's just a glitch in the system.

Ok...thanks! Don't have any memberships so it looks really awkward...
Hahaha...

mine definitely does the same thing! it worries me a little cuz on eras site i think they say that some programs like CV vs. CAF or vice versa and it may make it look kinda weird...
i may just call eras on monday and ask. i'll let you guys know if i get through

hi guys,
is there any advice on how much to write in teh description for your CV? bullet points and succinct? are we supposed to extensively describe our activities and research? how many pages should it be?
thanks!!

I'm having the same issue with the CV form, so I guess everyone is. It looks bizarre to have med school awards, AOA status, and memberships listed in the same section, especially when the heading doesn't mention awards.

I emailed ERAS about this, will post their response if i get it. O/w, I'll just leave it as is and find something important to worry about.

here's what they said:

.."We collapsed the Medical School Awards and Honorary/Professional Memberships into one category per their recommendation to condense some of the categories outlined in the CAF layout. Some programs use the CAF layout to review applications; others use the CV layout. Whichever they use, they are very familiar with the format and will use it for all applications that they review. So you see, they will have no difficulty locating your information and evaluating it accordingly..."

So I guess it's like that on purpose.

Thanks! Glad to see Im not the only one with the anxiety pains...heehee...Goodluck to us!
