applying for fellowship, submitted everything very early. Realized today that NRMP ID doesn't change so updated personal information with my old NRMP ID. Then realized it changed my ERAS application made available date from 07/20 to current time. Will this effectively reset the time stamp applications see for my entire application? How stupid was this move?

So on PD end, only the date certified appears?

It may show both, but chances are PDs have already started reviewing. They're not going to take your app out of the pile and move you to the bottom because you recertified your application. That would be crazy.

Dude did you really ask the EXACT same question 3 years ago when applying for residency?

Worst part is I didn't even remember that. I can't do this ERAS crap anymore lol

Well at least you're consistent.

No, updating your NRMP ID won't change anything on the PD side of ERAS. And nobody cares about your NRMP ID anyway.

Well, we'll be here in another 3 years when you start building your CV for the job hunt! Hint: don't put your NRMP ID on it at all 😉
