For programs that require a paragraph on why applicants want to apply to their programs specifically in the personal statement, is it ok to go over the 1-page limit for that unique program-specific paragraph? Thanks!

people generally will not read past one page...shorten it.

There are programs that actually ask for an extra paragraph on their specific program? Who has time to read these things??

If they are asking for it, then sure go over a page. It is not reasonable to expect you to shorten the rest of your PS to accommodate their stupid request.
