Hey all,
Normally I wouldn't post something like this. But I was just wondering if anyone is checking under track applications and has programs that haven't downloaded your info yet? Even though my whole file has been submitted now for almost a month.

Just wondering if it's just me/the places I applied/or if there's other people in the same boat.

That damn worrying mind...

Thanks!😳

nope, you're not alone : )
I have two or three who have yet to download
So do my friends : )
Good luck...

I was wondering the same thing got a few programs that have not downloaded my apps..... kinda weird :scared:

If you're really worried you could always shoot a quick email to the residency coordinator letting her know you are concerned and just wanted to make sure everything was ok with your ap. If this is for a "small" specialty (ie. derm, ENT, urology, ophtho - ones that usually have a relatively small number of apps and only a few interview days) they may be waiting until they feel they have most of the apps before looking at them, or some programs wait until the Dean's letter is released before looking at the apps I believe.

i applied to 20 something places, still waiting on one or two to download my app.

When we contact the ERAS postoffice, we get all of the new application information waiting for us. If one of the programs you have applied to has not downloaded your information, it's because they haven't downloaded anyone's information yet (or haven't updated since you applied). We can't "screen" applications on the server end -- we download everything and then sort it out on our end.

This leads to the strange event of programs continuing to download your information after you have been rejected. We can't help it -- we always get everything, whether we want it or not.

as a quick correlary, how do most programs reject an applicant? i honestly can't remember how it was when i applied for med school. will you get a formal email saying such from most places, or will they simply not invite you for an interview?

You'll get an email saying "We're really sorry, we are unable to offer you an interview at this time. There were a large number of qualified candidates and we couldn't accomodate them all."
