Whether or not it has a pubmed ID is irrelevant. It looks like their system is "crowd sourced post publication peer review" so it's definitely not a traditional peer reviewed journal. I would say you shouldn't mark it as peer reviewed but I don't know.ok thanks! last question- is cureus considered a peer-reviewed journal since there's a pubmed ID? or is it considered online?
It's "peer reviewed: but it's a wonky 2-step process and definitely not the traditional process.ok thanks! last question- is cureus considered a peer-reviewed journal since there's a pubmed ID? or is it considered online?
First step is that you select a handful of reviewers and they receive an email for an opportunity to review your article (anonymously, not sure how since you can easily just tell the reviewers the article is from you...).
Second step is journal editors then review the reviews, if they feel that it was done thoroughly they will approve the article. If not, they have a select few reviewers they will send the article off to.
I did this... and certified so.... how can I make my app stronger for next year?
There's a whole thread about ERAS publications here: ERAS 'Publications' Listing FAQ . There's no need for duplicate threads so I will lock this one.
The Cureus question has been addressed in the last two pages of the thread I linked to. The capitalization question really doesn't matter--if you want to, go ahead, but given that that they're reviewing this as YOUR application I promise that they will manage to find your name in the publication listing.
