dearest moderator, can we please get one?? this is crazy. practically every thread in here is about eras!

Hey that's a pretty good idea. Perhaps even a whole "applying to residency" subforum to catch all the posts about LORs, interviewing, etc.

i'd recommend against it. theres more people in the general residency forums than any subforum for applicants, and u'd get more feedback from people browsing. if it were specialized forum for applicants, u'd get less feedback from current residents cuz they won't bother to read. u could make a similar argument or subdividing the pre-allo forum to applicants only, but that would just ruin the forum.

There is no reason to subdivide the pre-allo forum into an applicants only forum, because by definition "pre-allo" is already a forum for applicants. And if the premed applicants' forum is doing just fine, why not a pre-residency applicants' forum?

Good point. But a sub-forum would still be seen when entering the Gen Res forum, and I'd argue that an AMCAS or AACOMAS sub-forum in their respective forums would go a long way in concentrating commonly repeated questions.
