ERAS submit or wait?

I am a DO student who recently decided I wanted to do anesthesia (MD match). I did not take USMLE step 1 but realized I needed to at least take step 2 so I sat for the test over a week ago. My question is, should I send my ERAS now or should I wait until my step 2 is out so I can send it with everything else? And if I do submit ERAS now will I be able to send my scores when I get them or will not having a USMLE score to submit now hurt my chances. Any thoughts or ideas are greatly appreciated.

if your application is finished, then send it out now. You can always re-submit with your step 2 score when it comes back. Also, this way you get control over releasing the score (if your score is on file already, you no longer get that option)

you should have submitted your app 3 weeks ago.

what are you waiting for? usmle scores are just a part of the app. let those programs look you over and offer an interview before the slots fill up.

remember, you don't know how you will do on step 2, so why take the risk in delaying?
