So ERAS opened for business (programs able to download) July 15. Our MSPEs don't release to DO programs until October 15.

I decided somewhat late in the game what I'm applying to (wasn't a third year core, and no third year electives for us), so I'm still working on getting my **** together. That is, one letter in, one in the works, one I need to get someone to do soon. ERAS/ personal statement in progress.

When do DO students usually submit their stuff by? This isn't like med school apps, where not getting it in by the first possible day means you're already screwed, right? :scared:

Depends what you're asking.

Timelines are posted on the ERAS website.

Allopathic programs can start downloading applications on Sept 1st.
Osteopathic programs started downloading applications July 15th.

Sorry if I wasn't clear. I know what the official timeline is. Unlike a lot of people on the board, I try not to ask questions where the answer is something I can go look up. I was asking more about the unofficial timeline, if that makes sense.

I'm remembering non-fondly the medical school application process, where there were nominal program deadlines but really you had to submit everything as soon as it was allowed to have a shot at an interview. Just wondering if there are any unwritten deadline rules in this process.

I would love some insight into the unofficial timetable as well. We didn't get our tokens until after the 15th, and my school hasn't uploaded any of our letters yet. Now that I'm staring Aug in the face... I'm getting a little nervous :scared:
