Error in crackpat?

The shaded cubes are supposed to be cubes with 3 sides painted. Why is the cube with the blue arrow counted as 3 sides instead of 4. Is that supposed to be a cube in front of it indicated by my red arrow?


How am I supposed to know that?

The red arrow points another cube. It is not a space.

That is obviously what they thought when the wrote the answers, but can you tell me how that different a space would look instead of a cube in that exact same spot?

The cube section on the DAT is very clear and much easier than this. Nothing to fear!!
