Nothing makes me more frustrated than a program that doesnt have correct answer choices.. I have come across this too many times. This for instance in Dat genius says that eukaryotes only have histones.. but I have read from numerous sources that Archaea also contain histones in their DNA. Am I wrong.. or am i reading the question wrong? or should I just completely stop using this program because my test is coming up and this is screwing with my head.

Some Archaea do have histones, you are right about that. Not sure how critical of an exception it is for the DAT, but it's an exception nonetheless.

I came across this in multiple resources that one of the main similarities between Eukaryotes and Archaea is that we both contain histones in our D.N.A, I thought that was a pretty straight forward fact.

Archaea are similar to eukaryotes in the following respects. 1. The DNA of both archaea and eukaryotes are associated with histone proteins. Bacterial DNA is not. 2. Ribosome activity in both archaea and eukaryotes is not inhibited by the antibiotics streptomycin and chloramphenicol. In bacteria, ribosome activity is inhibited by these antibiotics.

That was from cliff's bio which is a main source for most DAT takers. I would go with this but I can't really know what they will want on the DAT

Some species of Arcaea don't have histones, but I agree that it's still considered one of the main similarities. The question would have been better if it had been worded to say bacterial DNA instead of prokaryotic, since the three domain system appropriately differentiates bacteria, archaea, and eukarya.

Thats what I was thinking.. I have just done so many questions where they were very critical about the explanations so it has caused me to think like that too. Some of the questions on this test had very critical answers so it would be hypocritical of them to not be critical of this one. I think it is just a blatant error, Im prob not going to use it again lol.

How do you think it compares to BC and destroyer?

Honestly it seems a lot like remodeled destroyer bio questions.. alot of random facts with all the above options, i'm not going to mess with it, doesn't touch bootcamps questions they have the same format, they literally copied bootcamp, but the questions were terrible compared to any of the tests I have taken, I think they want to make themselves out to be the "hard version" but they are taking it way too far haha. Honestly, just go through q vault bio dude, it is soooo underrated. When you do that, go through all the sub section bio sections on qvault you are weak in. then go back to feralis and just pump through that until it is drilled. There isn't much more to do after that. Taking too many tests with different answers will mess with your head and cause you to overthink answers. After responding to this message I realized what I am going to do for the next 6 days haha. Good luck man

Alright thanks. Glad I could help haha.

Hey.

So from what I am getting out of this is I shouldn't use DAT genius? I was planning to use it along bootcamp one week before my exam.

If it contains several errors and all these detailed question rather than broad, then I will not purchase it.

I'll just throw it out there that I have datgenius and I like it. The bio questions are more detailed like destroyer but the bio explanations are a good source of info, and the pat explanations are really helpful. might not be for everyone but I feel like I'm more prepared having used most of it now. qvault bio is also good and another strong source of questions

Im using DAtgenius one week before my exam now. I like the sections it has and I can't hate on it. DATgenius has more scary questions that preps your correctly. i think
