So I saw on pharmacist letter that this recently came out. Anyone dispense it yet? I guess nexium is allegedly going generic in May, but whatever.

Have never seen. Did the letter cite any of the studies? I'd be interested to see if it was actually significantly more effective than the current Nexium...

said the 49.3 was = to 40mg... not much else, same old stuff for studies(i just barely looked at it though)- just said recommend a cheaper one first, etc, etc....it is MUCH cheaper than nexium though. I did try a test claim for someone whose insurance won't pay for nexium, still req a PA... but cash price for the 49.3 was cheaper than the near 200 bucks they were doing for nexium with a coupon

It isn't distributed by Astra Zeneca, its distributed by Amneal. AZ is going to sue them. I expect it to wind up like that old generic Plavix kerfuffle from back in 2006.

God I hope not! That would be racketeering at it's finest...

Every time I see this drug mentioned, all I can think is "Is it radioactive?" I realize that most strontium isotopes aren't.
