Does anyone know of some good examples of personal statements? Obviously, I could google this, but I was looking for some really unique ones.

In the absence of a "unique" life it is not possible to write a "unique" personal statement.

then do you know of any non-unique essays that are really good?

Personal statements are just that: they should be personal. They should give the adcoms a glimpse of the kind of person you are. They should offer insight into why you have made the decisions you've made.

Asking someone for a unique idea for a personal statement will most likely not benefit you. Adcoms will read it and get a picture of a certain kind of person, and you will likely not mesh with that vision if you hadn't come up with the idea yourself. Don't overthink your personal statement, just make it sound like you. If you are unique or funny, it will come out unique or funny.

Sarcasm right? Because that essay was a joke.

Its satire man... it makes fun of all the med/dent school applicants and how they are all trying to fit the mold. It also makes fun of the system and how it almost forces people to be altruistic, which in that process, defeats true altruism.

Exactly. Also, this essay follows the cookie-cutter personal statement, but takes it to an absurd level.

Here's how not to write a personal statement, written by the same person who wrote that funny personal statement on your original link.
