EssayEdge Editing service?

Hello all,

I am making the final finishing touches on my personal statement, and although a few people have looked it over and thought it was good, I am seriously considering getting pofessional editors to take a look at it. Does anyone know how EssayEdge is, and/or other recommendations? Is it really worth it to have professional editors take a look at it? How is everyone else getting their editing done?

I did EssayEdge, and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND it! You can get by just fine without it, but I found it to be extremely helpful, and ended up with a kicka$$ PS. 🙂

I've used EssayEdge and EssayRx

Both are good, but Rx was cheaper and assigned me an editor that is in medical school with a strong background in creative writing. So, I prefer them. I'd rather have an editor that actually been through the process and knows what we're going through. My 2 cents. Either way, both services are good.

I personally don't think that Essay Edge is worth it. There are so many free options out there. Exhaust those options first and if you're STILL not satisfied then use a pay service.

I used Essay Edge and it sucked....just my opinion. I think your best bet is to have people from the SDN read it.

First off, they really didn't do too much with my essay. It seemed to me all they did was throw some fancy words in it. You never know, it may work out for you and I'm sure it has helped many people, I just think the getting advise off the SDN is just as good.

i was not happy with it; first, it cost too much, 2nd the original was much better (they erased the authentic voice), finally, they admitted that my essay was great but that as editors they were charged with making changes

You mentioned there are free options out there.....Could you be more specific?
