essayedge vs medschoolcoach.com ???

hey guys,
i'm in the middle of applying here but wanted to get some outside help. i was checking out essayedge.com and was bout to sign up when i came across medschoolcoach.com. does anyone know anything about them versus essayedge? they seem to be more in tune with med school apps than essayedge, but i'd like to get some feedback if anyone has used them before. thanks

Essayedge's editors are typically have a very strong mastery of the English langauge. They will help to edit your essays, make it more concise, help you choose the right words, etc. Think of them more as an editor of your essay.

The Medschoolcoach advisors help you create outlines and read over your essays to give you advice on the content and the structures. They seem to provide more help with the contents but are likely less capable in editing.

I would say neither....i used essayedge but it didn't help me at all. They take your existing essay and make grammer, structure changes etc...but i needed more help. Actually, my grammer and structure was ok, but content wasn't ok.

so i advise to talk to someone who really knows you at a personal level (and who understands the application process) to get the right content in, then you can contact essayedge if you think it is still necessary (probably won't be necessary). I talked to a physician who knew me really well and he literally told me "why don't you talk about this and that.." because in our every day conversation i would various things and he knew how passionate i felt about these experiences.

i actually used the medschoolcoach.com guys before they were a "company". they were really good. they just started that recently i think, cause they were just a few guys doing it on the side.
anyways, i was having trouble getting the right schools picked and my adviser at school was not a huge help. i can say though that medschoolcoach guys were awesome and really helped a lot. they really had good insights into my essay and helped with picking the right schools and writing good secondaries.
so i'd def recommend them if your are looking to use someone to help out

thanks guys, yea i know people here will look at it for free. i'm def gonna give that a try, but i wanted someone who would work with me closely instead of a random on sdn. any other opinions out there on medschoolcoach.com...

My friend used medschoolcoach a few months ago. She said they really helped with the making a school list service or whatever. Personally making a broad list of schools to apply to took me the longest time when I applied since I did not know much about each school in detail. I think she also used the secondary package thing for a few schools and she got hooked up with diff ppl that actually attended the different schools she's applying to, so they made her tailor her essays to what the specific school was like.

I used essayedge for my honors thesis. They were good for grammar and flow of my paper, but in retrospect I think I could've just gone to my english dept at my school. They obviously can't do anything about content though.
