Essays

A dean from a medical school that has been guiding me throughout my reapplication process after my acceptance from med school has been rescinded suggested me to use my experience as a stressful event. I have used a different essay regarding my challenge essay last year, but this stress I have experienced after getting withdrawn was one of the most stressful moments I have experienced. That being said, is it a good idea to talk about this in a secondary? Note: the issue that resulted in my rescindment is now fully addressed on my AMCAS primary.

Obviously, I have learned and matured from this experience, so any comments about how screwed I am will be accepted but brushed aside - save your time. Thanks.

Who am I to argue with a medical school dean, but it seems to me in a challenge essay you want to highlight something challenged you and you overcame (thus highlighting your strengths). This incident doesn't seem like your finest moment (you had to post to SDN to find out whether you should report it or not and you were late in reporting anyway) and you still haven't got into medical school (ie. you haven't overcome the challenge yet). If you achieved something else notable post rescindment then maybe you could use it, highlighting that.
