I just took my final for my Cell Function class. I've generally kept all my science text books to use for future studying for the DAT, i.e. general biology, general chemistry, organic chemistry.
Should I keep this text book? It's called Essential Cell Biology Thrid Edition (Alberts, Bray, Hopkin, Johnson, Lewis, Raff, Roberts, Walter).
Has anybody had experience with this book and taken the DAT already? I'm planning on taking the DAT 2 years from now. So to say the least I've done very little research on what to study. But I'm planning on re-reading all my gen bio and chem and ochem stuff when the time comes. I'm also planning on getting the DAT destroyer. Should I also use this book as a study aid or should I sell it for some cash??
I know I have a little bit of time to play with but any other suggestions would also be helpful.

I used the same book and had the final on it last Tuesday. I am going to keep it to study for DAT. It has way too much details not covered on DAT, but its the best source to clarify something that you might not be able to find on Campbell Reece or wiki.

You just studied this book and you ll know where to look for something. As I said way too much to know for the DAT though.

Good for clarifications, but way too much detail for the DAT. I would stick to Cliff's AP BIO or Barron's AP BIO, both are pretty similar to the DAT in detail. I used these to get a 20 in bio.
