Hey guys, what do you think are the essential components to bring to rotations (must-haves)?

1. PDA
2. Small note pad (memo pad)
3. CYP P450 interactions?
4. Calculator

If your PDA has a calculator you can free up some pocket space that way. Does your PDA have epocrates or some other drug software loaded? That's always helpful.

The small note pad (with pen) is a good idea too.

 I like where your head is

Maybe comfy shoes too?

Comfy shoes are definitely essential!!

I don't leave the house without my lip balm or a tiny travel bottle of lotion to use after all those million hand washings! :D

I showed up with a pen. A PDA is a crutch. Get rid of it. You'll realize you know a **** ton more than you thought you did. I did three internal medicine rotations....I was surprised each time how well I could recall info about the wide variety of disease states present on medicine rounds.

  • Good Shoes
  • Good Attitude
  • Humility

Thanks for all the advice guys. Will keep all those in mind when I start tommorow!
