Consider calculations involving electrolysis. Or any chemistry calculations. Is it sufficient to use accurate estimation, rather than typing everything into the calculator on the DAT? Are answer choices given such that you MUST enter numbers into the calculator? So instead of using 96,500 coulombs, I would use 100,000 and do everything in my head. (Chad does this in his electrolysis vids).

Thanks for your advice, everyone!!

I personally didn't use the calculator during the whole test because it was much faster just to estimate and round. Also, many of the answers you don't even have to calculate, you just have to put it together correctly and the answers will match yours before you even do any math. For example: the answer will be listed as 5(4+3) instead of 35, just a lot more complicated. Also, I am not sure if there is a calculator on the Chemistry section, I think that it is only on the Quantitative Reasoning section, but I might be wrong. Anyways, I would just estimate and round a lot, it will save you a lot of time and the calculator I have heard is very finicky.

If you've watched Chad's, you should of heard him say (multiple times!!!) there is no calculator on the GC.....Chad is the man

On my DAT, the answers weren't an exact number, but rather all the variables on either the numerator or denominato. So rather than having to do the actual calculations you simply had to know what the question was asking, what equation to use, and how to solve for the correct variables.
