As in Not Manufactured?
There are generic manufacturers still around right?
For Estratest and Estratest HS?
My understanding is that it is now a Federal C3 while it was always exempt from NYS CS Laws. But now the stricter, federal law applies and it is therefore a C3 in NYS.

I'd assume that was true, since that is how it was in IL. It wasn't controlled until it was federally classified as a control. Yes, it is available generically....I have no idea if its still being made branded.
 
They lost their exemption due to the manufacturer getting bought out. The new manufacturer is in the process of applying for a new exemption. But in the meantime....

have not dispensed this one time. have not seen a single prescription for it. in fact, none of the pharmacies I've worked for so far even carry it. what kind of specialized pharmacy do you work at that dispenses this?

I saw it occasionally, back when postmenopausal women commonly used estrogen treatment. It's still not unusual for women to use topical testosterone in very low doses, to restore their sex drive and also for vaginal atrophy.
 
It's hormone replacement, plain and simple.
Women produce testosterone too.
Loss of testosterone production post-menopause is part of why they see a 20%+ drop in bone density within 5 years after menopause.

Hormone replacement is coming back on market as being safe.

I still can't find good and current sources to classify EEMT generic schedules.
