Is organ specific imaging ethical??

Just like a cardiologist wants to read the heart MRI and CT scans, even the Cardiac Surgeon would come up with similar ideas..

this will definitely increase the spending budget and the patient will have to undergo repeated scans everytime he visits a doctor..

Even other specialities would start doing the same thing..

Just heard that INTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGY will be a separate speciality away from radiology in 2010..will that not just increase the turf wars between the specialities???

I know there are laws which prohibit anyone else but a trained radiologist from reading scans..but the other specialites have their own arguments which sound convincing..
