I am getting frusterated at the fact that Q banks, FA, and online resources cannot agree on this. UW says....NO GIFTS (at all). COMQUEST says....”small” gifts are ok...but doesnt mention what that means...online resources say...gifts are ok only if beneficial to patient care...but cookies are ok....
Another question which I have seen differ is if a patient comes in with, say...bacterial meningitis. Patient comes into ED and then denies tx and wants to leave. What do you do? Can you hold them since this is a health hazard? Do you let them go because of autonomy?
