So is there a certain protocol that is generally regarded as polite in order to contact schools to find out if they received our secondaries, LORs, and payments? Is it best to call or e-mail? Is there a specific amount of time we should wait before asking? Thank you.

Some schools will tell you "bla bla bla will be updated in X amount of weeks". If so, give them that amount of time before contacting them.

As for whats best it depends on the school. Some answer emails quickly and some take forever. I would just call them if you really want to know.

I wrote a quick, concise e-mail when I was contacting PNWU and Western about my LORs. They get a ton of e-mails, so I try not to get too wordy. I give my name, AACOMAS ID, ask my question and state a few pertinent details. Then I say thanks and close it out.

So my primary was released about a month ago and I still haven't gotten secondaries from Touro-CA or Touro-NV. Would it be considered rude/annoying to send them an e-mail along the lines of "I submitted my primary application about a month ago and was wondering about the status of my application. Should I expect to receive a secondary?"

These two schools are incredibly slow moving this cycle. I was complete about the same time as you (9/20) and I just got TouroCA's secondary last weekend. Still nothing from NV, and I e-mailed them for no reply during this week.

I was complete the end of July and saw nothing from Touro-NV until mid-september when the secondary popped up.

I called Touro Nevada last week to check on the status of my secondary and spoke with an incredibly helpful receptionist. She actually had an admissions counselor send me the secondary right then! It was very much worth it to give them a call.

Damn, that's what I was hoping for... I called yesterday and went to voicemail. Left a nice message though.

I had actually sent two previous emails to two different people, and left a couple voicemails (over the course of two months... I hope that doesn't constitute harassment).

This is the last of 23 schools not to send me anything, be it a rejection, secondary, or a "hey, we got your primary".

They are behind on applications. She said they had some turnover, also they have been closed for several Jewish holidays.

I'd heard that, and TouroCA was the next to last school I hadn't gotten anything from until a couple weeks back. I'll give them a few days to sort out my email/voicemail before I call again.
