Evaluate my situation. Please?

Alright this is my first time posting on the DAT forum so please bear with me. Any opinions (good or bad) or encouragements or even motivational comments are welcome.

My test date is two weeks from now. I just took a DAT BootCamp exam #3 today and simulated it at a university library computer lab. (I just ordered some ear muffs similar to the ones provided by Prometric because people are loud.)

DAT BootCamp 3 -
BS - 22 (32/40)
GC - 23 (25/30)
OC - 18 (19/30)
PAT - 18 (57/90)
QR - 21 (27/40)

*Didn't take RC because library was closing

Other scores from this past week (last 7 days):

Crack the PAT:
PAT #5: 23
PAT #6: 23

QVAULT -
BIO #8 - 19 (31/40)
BIO #9 - 19 (31/40)
OC #1 - 18 (20/30)
OC #2-4 - 19 (22/30) (got the same score on all of them)

Previous BootCamp Scores (varying dates mostly within 2-3 weeks)
BS - 21, 22
GC - 21, 19
OC - 18, 16
PAT - 19, 19
QR - 18, 19

What you guys think? Should I give myself another week or two to review/practice before I take the test?

I'm looking forward to the Minion movie.

So started beginning of July. If I keep my test date, I plan to study everyday the next couple weeks from late morning (~10 AM) to night time (8-9 PM). My plan is to finish going through DAT Destroyer for the 2nd time, practice PAT/QR/RC consistently and squeeze in about 5 full practice tests at the university library (DAT Bootcamp #4, #5 + Two Achiever tests + 2009 ADA Test).

I am considering pushing my test date another week or two so I can solidify everything across the board. I'm trying to get a feel for how I would do if I wrote the DAT today.

One thing that's been frustrating is QVAULT. My scores are flat-lining and I can't seem to get past 32/40 on Bio, 25/30 on GC and 22/30 on OC. I score the same literally every time.

For PAT, I thought I finally started a nice trend after scoring 23 on two consecutive tests after 18-19s but then I go to BootCamp and Achiever and it's a totally different ball game.

Yeah, you should be fine. My scores are really similar to yours, except maybe ochem a little higher. I haven't finished destroyer yet though, and also haven't finished all qvaults. I have about 2 weeks left.

You're looking good and you're still two weeks out. That is a lot of time to bring your scores up even higher! Be sure to continue practicing and spending a ton of time on reviewing questions you missed OR feel uncomfortable with. Also order the 2009 DAT if you haven't already, that with the 2007 DAT will be the best predictor of your score.

With the 2007 and 2009 tests, can you take one section at a time? Like can you just take the bio section, then take the chem sections later?

The 2007 test is just a PDF so yes. If you get the web-based version of the 2009 DAT I think you may have to take the entire test at once (not sure, I didn't take the web-based version). They do offer a paper version though, I recommend you get that.

Oh ok. I only have about a week and a half before my test date, so I don't think I'd be able to get the paper version. But I will most likely try the web-based. Thanks!

Thanks Ari for the reply. I was actually thinking about e-mailing the Bootcamp e-mail.

Is the 2009 test just a good score indicator? I ask because I've been consistently reading on here that the difficulty level is not even close to the actual test. Did you find this to be true?

But I will definitely do the 2009 test as my last exam before the test.

The 2009 test along with the 2007 test are the best predictors of your score. They're made and calibrated by the same people who created the DAT you'll be taking.

There are many versions of the DAT. Some are easier, some are harder, but in the end they're all the same difficulty due to the scaled score conversion. So you could get an easier or harder test than the 2009 version, but I think it is slightly on the more difficult version side.
