Evaluating for ADHD?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Do you have any experience with AI generated artwork and if so on which platforms? I need a new piece for my living room after our sectional change and was hoping to save several thousand (sorry artists, I do love you but papa gotta pay for some vacations this year).
I mean, the most expensive part of art for a living room is the printing/framing, unless you buy the original work from an artist (which then costs thousands instead of hundreds.) The Boston MFA sells framed prints of many of the best/most famous items in their collection (and there are obviously a number of other websites that also sell prints and framed prints.) I'm planning to get some of the art of my new home from them.

So I've been looking for an affordable Psych where I live to look at doing yet another ADHD diagnostic assessment, because I'm struggling too much without meds due to health reasons (figure I might as well try a non stimulant option and see if it helps). Anyway I come across a service that charges $1800 for a 30 minute telehealth session to make a diagnosis. Can anyone say "Yeah, I think this might be dodgy"? Unbelievable how places are trying to cash in on the whole ADHD thing now; seriously how do they expect to make a proper diagnosis via telehealth in 30 minutes? I'm assuming the cost is a cash under the table for a dodgy script service type deal. How the bleep do these places stay in business, and more to the point exactly when did Psych's who work for them forget their Hippocratic oath. If I just wanted dexies I could phone a mate and have them delivered within a few days, but gods forbid you might want to actually get a (re)diagnosis confirmation legitimately. I am annoyed. :rage:
I thought for some reason that AUS had universal HC? Any general adult psychiatrist should be competent in doing a diagnostic evaluation so you shouldn't need to pay some crazy fee. Most people who are advertising specifically for ADHD are: 1. profiteering AND/OR 2. "ADHD advocates", neither of which is useful if your goal is a genuine medical opinion. In the US, people just go see NP's if they just want to try an ADHD med without too much hassle...

We have universal healthcare, under our medicare system, but for some stuff you still have to pay a gap fee. Some psychiatrists here charge more than others, so the gap fee can vary. I might get in touch with my old Psych and see if he has any recommendations. Sorry, was just sort of venting before, probably not the right place for it. 😎
