Hello,

I need help evaluating the relative competitiveness, work load, malpractice concerns, and lifestyle issues with the following residency paths I'm considering:

a. Pathology
b. Neurology
c. Pediatrics

Thank you for your help!

What year are you? Those are not 3 fields that "go together" so to speak. I don't think you find many 3rd and 4th years trying to decide between Pediatrics and Pathology...

I'm actually not even in medical school yet--just wanted to get some sort of understanding of realistic career paths--in terms of competitiveness and lifestyle--while I consider applying. I'm in my mid 20's and am just now considering going for a postbac. Did well as a liberal arts undergrad, did well on my GREs, and should be able to get into a postbac program for next year.

Thanks for any advice on these potential residency paths.

If I have to refer one more person to my humble and unassuming blog..well...at the risk of being confrontational I might have to burn this mother down.

Fer' God's sake. What's it going to cost you to click over to my blog and look at my brief description of different specialties including the three you mentioned? You'll have to move your finger, what, an inch? Not to mention that it will pop up in a new window so you won't lose your place on the this site or the gay midget donkey porn for which you have developed a taste.

Jeez.
