My physics prof is so bad I am considering buying videos of some sort to help me learn the concepts. I would love to some advice about some company that makes science learning vidoes. Any experience on this matter ? Please help.

Hmmm...not sure how helpful videos would be, even if they did exist. All the information you could want is in the textbook somewhere. In cases where I've had ****ty profs (and assuming they are teaching largely from the book and not their own fancy) I usually just bite the bullet and learn from the book.

I don't know how far along you are in physics but you can try:

Physics Demystified : A Self-Teaching Guide

(hopefully the link will work)

I have that book. It helped me refresh my physics I concepts before I embarked on physics II 8 years later. It's helpful.

I checked out a video at our local community college library that helped me re-learn some basic organic concepts before I began Orgo II this semester. It was made by the Standard Deviants. It's really kooky but it explains things in a way that you don't get bored (like I could actually watch a 2 hour organic video in one sitting..that has to say something). I looked it up on amazon and they do make one for physics, so at least check it out. Or check out your local community college to see if maybe you could rent it from them (I also go the cheapest route..)
The Standard Deviants Video for Physics

Good luck. My physics prof isn't so grand at teaching, either, if it makes you feel better.

Oh man, this takes me back. The worst prof I ever had by far was my physics prof. The guy is so old, that an attending physician I met while shadowing at a hospital told me he had had the same prof (he went to the same undergrad as I did)! Anyways, the guy moved so quickly, and wrote so sloppily, that it was impossible to keep up with him during lecture. Also, he would simply stop doing example problems halfway through (as soon as he decided that the rest of the problem was obvious). When semester 2 began, he did not even bother to hand out a syllabus or explain anything about the class, he simply started teaching! There were some people in our 2nd semester who had done semester 1 elsewhere, and they were horrified by this! I couldnt blame them!
Basically, I decided to study from the textbook. I pretty much had to read and learn every section from that book. The notes I was able to take during lectures were useless, because he wrote so sloppy and moved so insanely fast. Good luck to you.
