Ever heard of GRE subject tests being considered for M.D. admission?

I was wondering if taking the GRE subject test in Psychology and MoBio (and scoring high) would make for a more competative applicant, or if it would be 100% pointless.

Anybody know?

I know someone on the admissions committee at a lower-tier MD school, and I asked about GRE and GMAT scores and so on.

They see the scores, they care, they don't care much. They care a little.

But here is the nice part: You don't need to include your scores. If you take the GRE and do poorly, you can just not mention it. If you do well, there is a space on the AMCAS to put it in.

Edit: They might care very little. But they see the scores if you put them on your AMCAS. The time is probably better spent improving whatever the weakest part of your application is, such as shadowing instead of studying for the GRE.

But to all the people who already have good GRE scores, why not list them?

Waste of time and money unless Vet school is your fallback.
