Have any of you tried the Google Sketchup software as an "aid" (used loosely) for helping you understand certain parts of the PAT like TFE???

Personally I think its good for training your brain to view the different shapes from different sides. Not a blockbuster but just thought it was worth mentioning. Plus the PAT doesn't require too much attention, so I'm told.

How does this software actually work? I create my on shapes?...can you explain some more about how I would use this?

Yes! That's the best part. You can make any shape and then analyze it in 3D. Once you go through the tutorial and learn about the different functions and options, I think you'll be ok. Again, I wouldn't rely on this being a big gun in your PAT review arsenal. It helps you to better understand TFE and the whole 3d way a thinking. Try it and let us know what you think. The download was free.

I don't know man. I'm just thinking about some of the weird-ass shapes TFE has and I think it would take me a few hours to construct ONE. Seems like a waste of time unless you really can't imagine or rotate an object in your head.

True. I wouldn't dare to try the more complex layered structures.
