So has everyone else out there already submitted their applications? I was SO hoping to be early, but I just can't get out of the hospital! Hopefully by tomorrow or Friday...Do you think that's still considered "early"?

I just started working on mine. It is mostly done hopefully submitting soon. I am having a hard time figuring out which programs to apply to. (I'm not going into surgery by the way).

I took a month off to study for step II and do my apps after my July sub-I. It's a big relief to get it all done with. Also, I can see who has and has not submitted my LORs, so I know who to hound for them. good luck, everyone!

still working... hopefully I will get it done soon

any suggestions on how to gently re-ask your LOR writer where their letter is?

If its been more than a month and the letter hasn't gone out, a quick visit to their office, phone call or email asking them if there is anything you can do or provide to help them get the letter out is usually sufficient.

yay....apps have been out since 9/1 for me (i did the d.o. eras too, so everything was pretty much done already...i'm not *that* much of a gunner 😉). Despite my rush, about 5 of my 15 allopathic programs STILL have not downloaded my documents!!!! May have to do with me being a d.o., but i spanked the usmle steps 1 and 2, so that's no excuse 😛 What I do find funny, i accidentally applied to an ob/gyn residency, eras had a glitch that when you applied to the gen surg at this hospital, it applied you for ob/gyn. i got the interview. my personal statement was dripping with why i want to be a general surgeon. proof they don't read personal statements.

Just waiting now for interviews to trickle in...i've got one for Henry ford macomb (d.o.), and one for Marshfield clinic in Wisconsin (m.d.) ...yay!👍
