Question to those who have interviewed at EVMS if you flew into Norfolk. How did you get to the school from teh airport? Did you rent a car or take a cab? Cost? Also, what time does the interview day end, would it be too time pressing to have a flight depart from their airport at 7pm? Thanks.

I stayed at the Ramada--the hotel closest to EVMS--and had their airport shuttle pick me up. You just have to call and let them know ahead of time what time you will be flying in. In the morning, the front desk called a taxi, arrived in about 10 min, and took less than 5 min to get there (I don't remember the cost, definitely less than $10). Although I had the first interview time, I stayed around and talked to other interviewees til everyone was done because I realized I had tons of time to kill, and my flight didn't leave til 7pm. Still had plenty of time to get to the airport. The taxi ride to airport from EVMS was about $20.

i know that you'll be done by 4:30 tops. that should give you enough time to get outta town by 7.

i flew into D.C. (coming from Long Beach, CA and was rerouting a flight going to JFK), rented a car, and drove 4 hrs down and stayed overnight at the Radisson. even w/ torrential rain from Hurricane Ernesto/Florence, didn't have any travel mishaps.

if you gotta take any of the tunnels outta or into Norfolk proper, though, be careful. rush hour tunnel traffic is a nightmare, particularly when there's bad road conditions.

Ill be flying in late- around 1030pm- i hope the ramada has a shuttle that picks up at late.

I didn't fly in, but you will be fine flying out at 7. You could probably plan on 6 and still have plenty of time. I interviewed at 2, and I don't think any interviews are conducted after 4. Even if you had the latest possible interview you will be out at 5, and you arent far from the airport.
