How important really is all these stuff? seems like lot of random facts. I understand that hardy weinberg, mendelian, crosses, linkage are all important from geentics, but is the idea of speciation and other evolution that important? Is this topic popular on MCATs? Thanks

It's good to know. I don't think it's exactly high-yield but you should know it anyways.

And imo, most of it is common sense and somewhat interesting anyways. It's not hard to pick up.
