Hello, I was wondering is anyone has an input on how a course in Evolutionary Biology is? Right now I am debating between taking Genetics or Evo Biology. Genetics at my school is the harder course. As for medical school, which one would be the better option in terms of relevance of information. which class would be more interesting?

Genetics is more relevant to medical school application. Don't underestimate evolutionary biology though. My lowest test grade in college came out of my evolution course, but I thought it was super interesting.

In terms of the information being interesting which one did you prefer? I don't have to take both courses but do have to choose between the two. Only thing keeping me from taking Genetics is that it is the second hardest/most failed course on campus.

I mean I immensely enjoyed both of them. If I only had to take one I would have taken genetics because it was more useful for medical school apps and more relevant to the upper level classes I took.

Some schools (OHSU) require a genetics class a pre-req, some other ones recommend it. Never seen anyone recommend an evolution class. Take the genetics class.
